Project 1
For project 1 of my Web Design class, we put together a website using Figma that represents a photographer. I chose Tim Walker as my photographer.
Tim Walker is a British photographer known for imaginative and dreamlike imagery. Born in England in 1970, he developed an early fascination with pictures, fairy tales, and visual storytelling. After working in the Cecil Beaton archive at Condé Nast and studying photography at Exeter College of Art, he moved to New York to assist Richard Avedon. At twenty-five, he shot his first fashion story for British Vogue, beginning a long relationship with the magazine. His work often features elaborate sets, handmade props, and fantasy-inspired narratives, though he also enjoy simple portrait photography. Over the years he has collaborated with artists like Björk, Kate Bush, and Harry Styles, and his work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Victoria and Albert Museum and the National Portrait Gallery.
Project 2
For project 2 of my Web Design class, we were put into groups to create a website. I worked with Rhiannon and Jack to create a website for boutique travel to Machu Picchu. Rhiannon worked on gathering information and putting it together in a detailed text with images. I worked on the Figma website that uses this information to create a layout that will go towards our final website. Jack worked on the main point of this project, which is the coded website. Together, we created a process that worked towards each other’s responsibilities as a team to create a well-structured and detailed website.
